Professional Scrum Master

PSM | 2 Days | Advanced | Scrum Masters

Course Overview

The Scrum Master as envisioned by Ken Schwaber and Scrum.org is a Lean-agile Practitioner that is a Teacher, Mentor, Coach, & Facilitator that guides the Scrum Team. They need to have Technical Mastery so that they can guide the Development Team, Business Mastery so that they can guide the Product Owner and deal with Impediments, and Organisational Transformation Mastery so that they can guide the Organisation to focus on Value delivery and enact change. The Professional Scrum Master (PSM) course is a 2-day course where students learn how to use Scrum to optimize value, productivity and the total cost of ownership of software products. Tools are provided to enable students to relate to behavioural shifts, work with people and teams, coach and facilitate techniques, and address the organization.

Learn Scrum from those that created and maintain it

This is a Professional Scrum Masterclass that is ideal for anyone that wants to augment their journey to becoming a lean-agile practitioner and a better Scrum Master for their team and their Organisation. Make sure that you have read the Scrum Guide and at least one of the Agile books before attending.

What You Will Learn

Over the 2 days, students will see why PSM is the cutting-edge course for effective Scrum Masters and for anyone coaching a software development team toward increased efficiency and effectiveness. The course includes advanced thinking for servant-leadership and behavioural shifts.

Throughout the course, students are challenged to think in terms of the Scrum principles to better understand what to do when returning to the workplace.

The PSM course is much more than just a set of slides and an instructor. In this course, students work on real-life cases with other classmates together as a team. This course is made up of discussions and hands-on exercises based upon real-life cases.

All of our classes can be delivered in-person, or as Live Virtual Classrooms anywhere in the world.

Why naked Agility with Martin Hinshelwood?

We believe in empiricism, and so we need to inspect and adapt, which is dificult to do within a 16h class. So we offer:

  • Additional 30-minute session with the trainer for every student – all live virtual classes, public and private, come with an additional 30-minute session with the trainer for students that take the assessment within 14 days of the class to help them with their future learning path.
  • Additional trainning sessions for private classes – In addition to the public offering, Private classes will get additional consulting, coaching, and training sessions to be used within 6 months of the class that totals 25% of the training time. For a 16h class that would be 4 hours of additional sessions on any topic folks want. See

Class Inclusivity Features for those that are differently able

We know that more can always be done to help those with disabilities and we are exploring many technological techniques for helping those with dificulties by using:

  • Online Training – Train from the comfort of your own home.
  • Live captions in English – Microsoft Teams provides live closed captions in English for those that are hard of hearing
  • Live Translation in any Language (preview/experimentation) – You can request that we provide subtitles in any Language using Microsoft Translator Conversations.

Class Inclusivity Features for those in different economic context

Since our goal is to bring Scrum, Kanban, and their good practices to the world we need to accept that some markets just dont have the same buying power as Europe or the USA. To try and offset that reality we offer multiple ticket types that try to offset that inherant diference:

  • Primary Market Ticket100% market rate – This ticket is for residents of countries that we consider to be in our primary market; Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Luxembourg, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States, Saudi Arabia
  • Secondary Market Ticket50% Primary – Tickets for all countries not listed as primary. You will be asked for evidence of residence after processing.
  • Special Market Ticket25% Primary – These tickets are available through our local agents in Ghana, Nigeria, and other countries where purchase power has been assesed to require extra offset.

Learn Scrum theory, roles, events, and artifacts through individual and group activities along with trainer instruction.

The Professional Scrum Master course is for anyone involved in software development using the Scrum framework. It is particularly beneficial for those people within an organization accountable for getting the most out of Scrum, including Scrum Masters, managers, and Scrum Team members.  We also suggest that you read through the PSM Subject Areas. If you are new to Scrum and are interested in getting started then the Certified Professional Scrum Foundations Training is more relevant.
