This course is appropriate for students in any industry where teams are working to solve complex problems. The Professional Scrum Product Owner course is for:
While this course covers an introduction to the Scrum framework, it’s primarily from the perspective of the Product Owner. Therefore, it’s best if the students come to the course with an understanding of the fundamentals of Scrum, ideally as demonstrated by passing the Scrum Open.
All participants completing the Professional Scrum Product Owner course receive a password to take the Professional Scrum Product Owner I (PSPO I) assessment. The industry-recognized PSPO I certification requires a minimum passing score of 85%. PSPO class participants who attempt the PSPO I assessment within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not score at least 85% will be granted a second attempt at no additional cost. You are also entitled to a discount on the PSPO II assessment once passing PSPO I.
Students of Scrum.org courses are able to claim Project Management Institute (PMI) PDU credit: 14 PDUs after attending a two-day Professional Scrum Master (PSPO) course. Please note that PMI PDUs are earned for course attendance and not for passing a Scrum.org assessment. Students can claim PDUs under PMI’s “Education courses provided by other third-party providers” category. You can claim your PDUs online at https://ccrs.pmi.org. Find instructions here.

The Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) is broken into 1/2 day live virtual sessions delivered over Microsoft Team and Mural. These 1/2 day sessions may be offered in full-days or half-days over one or more weeks, depending on this class’s format, described below in the “Learning Experience” section.
Each 1/2 day live virtual session delivered by one of our lean-agile practitioner instructors is divided into learning blocks, each with presentations and lectures in the form of videos, reading material, and writing activities provided for self-study that complement the live session.
All our courses prioritize valuable learning outcomes achieved through experiential learning in a classroom setting. These courses are typically delivered over multiple half-day sessions, ensuring a focused, immersive learning experience.
The Immersion Program offers an alternative format that goes beyond the confines of the classroom, allowing students to apply their newfound knowledge in real-world situations. This program takes experiential learning to the next level by incorporating retrospectives for continuous improvement, resulting in a highly effective and practical learning experience.
