Professional Scrum Product Owner™ - Advanced (PSPO-A) training experience uses a unique blend of self-paced learning, live classroom hands-on activity-based exercises, and community-based aftercare helping experienced Product Owners and Product Managers expand their ability to establish a vision, validate their hypotheses, and ultimately deliver more value to their stakeholders. The course goes beyond the topics explored in the Professional Scrum Product Owner (PSPO) class deepening the attendee's understanding of the role by exploring the many stances of a professional Product Owner. Students should have at least one year of Product Owner experience and practical knowledge of Scrum in order to participate in and benefit from these exercises. Having previously taken the PSPO class is recommended but not required.
Each session includes STARTUP activities before the session and WRAPUP activities to be completed after each session. Before, during, and after the class students can interact with other students and thought leaders in our Lean-Agile Community.
The course also includes a free attempt at the globally recognised Professional Scrum Product Owner II (PSPO II) certification exam.
This course is designed for Product Owners, Product Managers, and Business Analysts focusing heavily on Product Management skills, tools, techniques, and knowledge as part of their work on the Scrum Team. The course does not address the Scrum framework (much), and we assume people have a proper understanding of the Scrum framework. Participants should have at least one year of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager, while multiple years of experience and having attended the Professional Scrum Product Owner course and passing PSPO is preferred, but not mandatory. Other people that might benefit from the PSPO-A course include:
All participants completing the Professional Scrum Product Owner – Advanced course will receive a password to attempt the Professional Scrum Product Owner II (PSPO II) assessment. The industry-recognized PSPO II certification requires a minimum passing score of 85%. PSPO-A class participants who attempt the PSPO II assessment within 14 days of receiving their free password and do not score at least 85% will be granted a second attempt at no additional cost. You are also entitled to a discount on the PSPO III assessment.
Students of Scrum.org courses are able to claim Project Management Institute (PMI) PDU credit: 14 PDUs after attending a two-day Professional Scrum Master (PSPO) course. Please note that PMI PDUs are earned for course attendance and not for passing a Scrum.org assessment. Students can claim PDUs under PMI’s “Education courses provided by other third party providers” category. You can claim your PDUs online at https://ccrs.pmi.org. Find instructions here.
All our courses are centred around valuable learning outcomes achieved through experiential learning within a classroom environment. They are most often delivered as intense 2-day experiences.
The Immersion Program is an alternative format that extends the learning experience beyond the classroom by allowing students to apply what they have learned to real-world settings. This format is enhanced by incorporating retrospectives for improvement, making the learning experience highly effective and practical.
An Immersion Program is a method of learning where students are actively engaged in the material and apply their knowledge in real-world contexts over an extended period of time.
The application of learning during an Immersion Program is core to the concept. Participants should have the opportunity to work with a real team on a real product during participation in the program. If you do not have this opportunity while participating in the program, you can either find a partner to pair with, or you should consider attending a traditional class.
Immersion Programs are an extension to our existing course offerings, not a replacement. We believe that learners have preferences and unique situations, to which we intend to offer greater variety in course delivery methods to meet these needs. The below characteristics of learners are generalized and intended to help guide you towards the learning method you think might suit you best.

Learners who register for a traditional Scrum.org course:
Flipped learning is an alternative format that moves some or all of the learning of theory away from the classroom, and reflecting and practising is done in the class (hence the name "Flipped Learning").

The Product Owner’s role is multifaceted, requiring the practitioner to engage in behaviours and adopt mindsets beyond the core of Agility and the Scrum Framework. This course surfaces these behaviours by challenging the student to adopt several different Product Owner stances:
Over the 2 days, students will learn about areas critical to growing as a successful Product Owner and through a series of exercises combined with instruction, students gain a better understanding of what it means to deliver value and how to express that value inside and outside of the organization.

naked Agility Limited is a professional company that offers training, coaching, mentoring, and facilitation to help people and teams evolve, integrate, and continuously improve.
We recognise the positive impact that a happy AND motivated workforce, that has purpose, has on client experience. We help change mindsets towards a people-first culture where everyone encourages others to learn and grow. The resulting divergent thinking leads to many different ideas and opportunities for the success of the organisation.
We understand the complexities of organisations and recognise that a pragmatic approach with short rapid experiments is most likely to succeed. We have deep knowledge of the agile mindset and lean thinking that we blend with our experience in working with others. We know that the organisational context as well as relationships between teams can add significant constraints on reaching outcomes. Evidence-based decision making will help target changes where they are needed most. We want to help you create an environment or learning and collaboration that will make your organisation your journey a success.
