Welcome to Flipped Learning: A Fresh Approach to Education at Naked Agility
Here at Naked Agility, we are all about helping you learn in the best way possible. Our classes have always focused on learning by doing. But we know that everyone has their own way of learning. That’s why we are excited to offer Flipped Learning, a new format that is flexible and encourages teamwork.
What is Flipped Learning?
Flipped Learning is not new. It’s used in universities, schools, and many other places. The Flipped Learning Network (FLN) says it’s a teaching method where students first learn on their own and then use the classroom for active and hands-on learning with the help of teachers.
In normal classrooms, teachers talk a lot and students do homework later. Flipped Learning changes this by having students learn on their own first and then work together in the classroom.
Why Flipped Learning is Great
- Learning Sticks: When you learn in small bits at a time, you remember it better.
- Learning Goes Deeper: Thinking about what you learned and using it in practice makes the learning more meaningful.
- Fits Different Learning Styles: Whether you like reading, watching videos, or talking things through, Flipped Learning adapts to how you learn best.
- Access Materials Forever: You can keep using the study materials even after the class is over.
What Happens in a Flipped Learning Class
When you take a Flipped Learning class, here’s what you’ll get:
- Four sessions in a classroom, each lasting half a day, led by an experienced teacher.
- An optional test or assessment.
- Lots of self-study materials, including 8 hours of videos, 6 quizzes, and reading materials.
Is Flipped Learning for You?
Flipped Learning is great if you:
- Want to take charge of your learning and are willing to put in the time.
- Can make time for a half-day classroom session each week and set your own study schedule.
- Like to dive deep into new topics and ask questions.
- Like to learn at your own speed by reading and watching videos.
- Enjoy the freedom and reflection time that Flipped Learning gives you.
Keep in mind, Flipped Learning adds to our other courses; it doesn’t replace them. We believe in giving lots of options so you can find what works best for you.
If you like the regular way of learning, our traditional Scrum.org courses might be a good fit. They are for people who want to focus intensely on learning, like to talk with others, and want a strong base to keep learning on their own later.
